CDCFIB Releases Shortlist, Announces Date for Recruitment CBT Across Paramilitary Agencies

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has published the shortlist of candidates selected from its recent recruitment campaign for key paramilitary institutions in Nigeria.

In an official statement issued on Wednesday evening, Secretary to the Board, A.M. Jibril (Maj-Gen, Rtd), stated that shortlisted applicants can now check their status on the official portal — recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng beginning Thursday, October 30, 2025. 

CBT Date, Time & Venue Details

Jibril explained that the portal will also display information regarding each candidate’s Computer-Based Test (CBT), including the date, time and venue of the exam. 

Fraud Alert: Beware of Third-Party Claims

Applicants were strongly advised to rely only on information provided directly through the official CDCFIB portal and to disregard any message from unofficial sources. Jibril warned that the recruitment process remains strictly transparent and merit-based, cautioning against fraudsters claiming preferential treatment. 

Agencies Covered by the Recruitment

The ongoing exercise covers recruitment into four major paramilitary agencies under CDCFIB’s oversight: the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the Federal Fire Service (FFS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
